On Wednesday, work sent me down to St. Louis for a night. While the trip began with a delayed flight due to "inclement weather," I finally made it to the Gateway to the West at 9 p.m., an hour and a half later than I was supposed to. Despite the delay, I endured a freezing evening stroll (it was 20 degrees) and managed to see the city's historic and iconic landmarks.
Even though I only spent a little over an hour wandering the quiet streets of St. Louis, I got an awesome introduction to all that the city has to offer. When I return, I plan on venturing out a little more (maybe exploring some breweries and checking out the St. Louis Science Center) and will definitely sink my teeth into some famous St. Louis barbecue.
